Respite Care
Our facility offers 24 hour respite care to families who desire short-term care for their loved ones. Our respite residents receive the same care management as our long-term care and rehab residents. Respite care allows families the peace of mind in knowing that their loved one is being cared for while they are away.
Post-Surgical Care
To hasten recovery we offer short-term care for patients recovering from surgery when they are no longer in need of hospital care but are unable to care for themselves.
Wound Care and Management
Our treatment nurse has a vast knowledge of the most up to date treatment options. These nurses, as well as our administrative nurses, have a great rapport with our staff nurse’s, which makes continued education and training easier and more receptive. Most important our treatment nurse takes pride in her job while giving our residents exemplary care.
Restorative Nursing Care
Restorative Nursing programs affect our Resident’s lives on a daily basis. We do this by allowing/helping residents to be as independent as possible, for as long as possible. A Rivers Edge, our Restorative staff does a great job of making the programs fun and entertaining. The residents like to see the Restorative staff coming, and enjoy working with them.
Respiratory Care
Our facility provides therapeutic care and management for acute and chronic lung disease and cardiac disease as it pertains to respiratory illness.
Pain Management
Pain prevention is a priority within our nursing department. Residents are assessed upon admission for diagnosis that would potentially indicate pain. These assessments are also ongoing per the nurses as indicated during a residents stay at the facility. We want to ensure that comfort of the resident remains at the forefront of their healing/rehab process thus we take the initiative to identify root cause of the residents pain. Medications are a last resort with our pain management programs. Our medical director and nurse practitioner are available 24 hours a day and concerns with pain are addressed immediately.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Recovery from a heart attack or heart surgery is more successful when the patient is able to follow a medically supervised program. This treatment requires a long-term commitment from the patient and their team of health care providers. Our facility is committed to the excellence in cardiac rehabilitation outcomes.
Diabetic Management and Care
Disease management requires alleviating the symptoms and maintaining the resident’s quality of life while identifying and addressing the underlying causes of diabetes.
Stroke Care and Rehabilitation
Our therapists are committed to assisting stroke patients relearn skills that have been lost when part of the brain has been damaged. These skills include motor, cognitive and speech functions.
Hospice Services
End of life care can be a challenging for families and this is why our facility is dedicated to assisting families with care and services. Our facility staff ensures peace of mind and comfort to families as they make these difficult decisions.
Registered Pharmacist Medication Assessment and Monitoring
Registered pharmacists routinely review resident’s medications, clinical conditions, and diagnoses to ensure that the resident’s medications are appropriate.
